When I was a child, my babysitter Susie was always making crafts. I loved watching her, and I asked my mom to teach me to crochet. It never really stuck, until (when I had grown up a bit more) I bought a book and decided I was ready to teach myself. That was the day I learned to crochet.
A few years later, I was trying to save a favorite bracelet that I had broken. I thought about mailing it to someone who makes jewelry, but that seemed like such a hassle! Then, as I was looking for craft supplies at my local Wal-Mart, I found the exact tools I needed to fix it, along with some basic instructions. “This can’t be that hard,” I thought. So I bought the stuff, went home, and fixed that bracelet as good as new! Then I made all the bridesmaid jewelry for my sister-in-law’s and brother’s wedding.
I just graduated from Kent State University with a Master’s degree in Public Relations. I love to make crafts in my spare time. Crocheting and jewelry-making are my favorite crafts, but I also like to buy whatever kit at the craft store that strikes my fancy. I’m open to suggestions!
